HBDI FAQ – EVERYTHING YOU WANT TO KNOW BUT WERE AFRAID TO ASK

The HBDI (Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument) is the world's leading thinking styles assessment tool. It identifies your preferred approach to analytical, structural, emotional and strategic thinking. The HBDI picks up where other assessment tools leave off - where most assessments end with a single report, the HBDI offers a valuable range of applications. Identifying your thinking style preferences is only the first step. Plus, scoring results are free of value judgment and cultural bias.

How does it work?
The HBDI is an on-line 120-question diagnostic survey. Your answers indicate your thinking style preferences. Because it is a self-analysis, most people immediately recognize the accuracy of their results.

Your HBDI assessment includes a full color personal profile plus 4 accompanying interpretation booklets:
  • "Understanding the Herrmann Model"
  • "Reading your Profile Step by Step"
  • "How Does Your Profile Compare to Others?"
  • "Exploring Your Profile: Ideas and Exercises"

Optional:
A confidential one-to-one consultation to discuss the implications your results have on your life, both personally and professionally and how to apply your new knowledge to a variety of life situations.

New! HBDI Interactive - includes the HBDI™ assessment plus 5 modules of applications, simulations and private personal journal for self-paced, on-line learning. Call for more information!

What’s in it for you?
Your personal thinking preferences influence your communication, decision-making, problem solving and management styles. Understanding your thinking style preferences is an awakening to your true potential, an understanding of others and a celebration of your natural strengths!

The HBDI is not just another assessment tool!
The HBDI has been validated by more than 25 years of research, including a database of results from more than 2,000,000 assessments. It has been the subject of independent validations, dissertations and scientific papers. Among other things, the HBDI system is taught at the Wharton School of Business and has been featured in books and leading publications including the Harvard Business Review.
